Need somethin' to go with that rice?

Take some time out for some serious substance:

First, [info]susanwrites is having a contest! She's giving everyone 3 big chances to win an autographed copy of Jim Averbeck's In a Blue Room, illustrated by Tricia Tusa (Harcourt, 2008). I've heard so many good things about this book, that I'd love love love to win! If you feel like stealing the prize right out of my hands, read contest details here. Deadline is June 1st.
The May 2008 issue of Edge of the Forest is up. Julie M. Prince ( [info]jmprince) has been very busy lately. She has interviews with Linda Urban and Elizabeth C. Bunce. And don't miss Candice Ransom's A Backward Glance feature, along with lots of great reviews.
The SBBT (Summer Blog Blast Tour) is still in full swing, with loads of interviews with such amazing writers as Laurie Halse Anderson, David Almond, Robin Brande, and Tera Lynn Childs. I loved yesterday's interview at 7-Imp, featuring Polly Dunbar. See the full schedule here, compliments of Colleen Mondor, Little Willow and Kelly Fineman.
